Energy Efficiency proven! 

You aren’t able to see the actual wattage draw of your spa but I can. Do you ever open your power bill and think Oh my Goodness that spa must be drawing a LOT of power? If that is ever the case, please call me because I can see your spas power usage!

If you are on line you can call me – we can look at your tubs usage. Remember this is a 1700 gallon swim spa.


We have an early spring

Spring came early this year so it is much safer to Drain, clean and fill your tub (if you are interested in us doing this for your – get on the schedule before the pools start to open).

A few things to remember

System flushing your spa gets all the build up in the lines out BEFORE you empty (make sure you pull your filters first)

  • System Flush is also Bag 3 on the Trio system
  • The store has a granular and a liquid form available

Cut the power before you start to drain

If you have a lot of brown almost greasy stuff on the water line it is oils and lotions etc. If it dries on the tub shell it can be very hard to get off. Use a little system flush and it will wipe right off

If you have spa boy you need to put that plug in while it is still full so the probe is always under water. The plug came with the paperwork in that bag. The little helmet type cover unscrews and the plug goes in its place. When the tub is clean and filled you can put the “helmet” back on and it will start to register the chemicals again

  • Don’t forget the salt on a new fill.

 Effect of Aquatic Immersion on Static Balance

Purpose:

The study was conducted in order to compare the measures of static balance and limits of stability (LOS) in an aquatic environment vs. land.

Methods:

Fifteen, healthy and young, from the ages of 21-25 participated in this study. Participants were asked to perform a 90 second static balance trial under varying conditions. The three environmental conditions were land, water immersion at the greater trochanter (waist high)  and xiphold (chest high) process depths with eyes open and eyes closed..

Results:

The differences between land and water that resulted from the study showed that percentages comparing land values increased 155% for trochanter  and 317% for xiphoid conditions in water.

Conclusion:

it was determined that the inclusion of aquatic training is an important consideration as part of a comprehensive training /rehabilitation program. Developing stability through exercises that are characteristically instable improves neuromuscular coordination and postural control strategies and reduced risk for falls for special populations (e.g. older adults, those with impaired neuromuscular function)
